In Place: PLACE

As the inaugural project of our IN PLACE initiative for site-specific sound, we gave the long overdue world premiere of David Dunn’s PLACE, a large-scale site-specific work for voices, instruments, bodies, electronics, and found materials originally written in 1975. The initial performances took place at two iconic locations in the Buffalo-Niagara region: Silo City (June 17, 2017) and Artpark (July 16, 2017).

The event was curated by Colin Tucker and Ethan Hayden and supported by the New York State Council on the Arts with additional support from Artpark, Buffalo State College Digital Music Production Program, Silo City, University at Buffalo Music Department, University at Buffalo Percussion, and Williamsville Central Schools.
